St. Kitts is a beautiful 67 sq mile(174km) Island located in the West Indies formally known as St. Christopher named after Christopher Columbus who arrived in1493 .St Kitts is a common Wealth country. They have been independent since 1983. The island has the Caribbean on one side and the Atlantic on the other which is truly a breath taking experience to see. The island is has a mixture of dry terrain and lush volcanic soil. (Mount Liamuiga) (3792ft)
Temperatures range from 26°c (79°f) to 32°c (89°f) all year long. Northeast tradewinds are constant. Rain usually falls between May and November, averaging 109 cm (43 in) a year. High humidity characterizes the summer months. Hurricane season runs from late summer to early fall.

In the month of November we celebrate our Nevis International Triathlon which is a multi-sport race with three or more perpetual and subsequent endurance races.
The 9th Nevis International Triathlon is perchance the most dazzling challenge in triathlon.
The course is a panoramic, as it is challenging and different. Swim the crystal clear water of the Caribbean at a swimming distance of 500 meters cycle on a bike course which goes around the entire island of Nevis which is 31k, and an intense run which starts from Qualie Beach, then transition to the mount of Nevis Hotel and back that is a 5k distance, also a NEVIS DUATHLON this has a 2k run from the Qualie Beach towards the airport and back.
