The academic faculty of IUHS contributes to a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

IUHS professors have a worldwide audience of the next generation of medical doctors, establish links and networks with forward-thinking medical professionals, enjoy flexibility to give lectures from virtually anywhere, and are able to conduct research or author and edit other projects.

IUHS will launch the department of Faculty Affairs and Development, in the summer of 2012. The department will be an integral part of the school, delivering top-notch medical education and will be responsible for recruitment and appointments, promotions, and retention of distinguished faculty. This new department will: 

• Oversee and facilitate proactive administration of all aspects of policies and processes relating to faculty recruitments and appointments
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and external regulations relating to faculty employment, including affirmative action/equal employment opportunity policies
• Create feedback loop for mentorship
• Provide resources for faculty
• Provide services to enhance skills of faculty, both in teaching and in their area of expertise
• Organize workshops and seminars in skills in such as teaching, writing, presentation
